Just put your turrets out at $135 - they'll still sell. This happens every set - some idiot crashes a market with some insanely cheap units, and every other idiot follows him right down the fluffter with their prices.

as a techer I just might play this reset selling tech at $1400-1500 unless other techers learn not to sell below 3000.

just had to buy 800 points of SDI to make the price jump from 2K to $3800... if you really want to play it this way then I will make sure peeps have to buy 80-120k worth of tech-points to buy me out and restore the markets.

hehe i am a demo techer... problem is trying to find a stable sales point that would last long enough to sell, as mentioned peeps are either recalling or leaving it on the market for 2 hours and recycling at lower prices. Would need all techers to buy out the low priced tech and resell high.

If just 3-4 techers are crashing the market then all that happens is we buy all their tech and sit on a useless stockpiles of tech.

if it was just a rep or commie trying to lower the prices by sacrificing a few 1000 points then buying it out would not be a problem. Techers would just need to remember to clear the market before reselling. That is vs. try to beat out some price put up by a rep/casher and ending up selling 20-30K points of tech for $1500 cheaper then the going rate because someone neglected to clear the 500 points of tech selling at $1800 and watch it jump to $3300 as it should be.

actually was thinking of selling tech low and use the funds to do a food buy out ... reps and commies would probably prefer to buy 3K per tech point then 80 dollar bushels :D ... I'm sure the farmers wouldn't mind either.

but would need 3-4 strong demo_techers to pull it off:)

Day5 Turns 1481-1840 --- Sell at whatever price

meh I suppose I can play 4-5 resets as a techer selling at 2k the first day and drop it by $200 a day until no one wants to play techer anymore. ... just to setup the one reset where I can sell tech at 5k for the whole reset.

maybe there just aren't enough people for a techer to profit yet. everybody has to do tech startups just to get some because the market is usually bone dry.

the war techs are dry but not the key production techs, or at least I have not seen those go dry yet.

i may have the old TPT formula
ROUND(.26*LABS*(.5+.5*(LABS/LAND))+3,0)
looks like the new formula is at:
ROUND(0.34*Labs*(0.5+0.5*(Labs/land))+3,0)

if it is at .34 then comparing tech price to bushel price per turn taken I'm getting:

$500 tech -- $11 Bushel
1000 -- 23
1500 -- 34
2000 -- 45
2500 -- 57
3000 -- 68
3500 -- 79
4000 -- 90
4500 -- 102
5000 -- 113
5500 -- 124

so you need to sell tech @2000 just to keep up with a fascist farmer, and that is assuming you sold all your tech.

So realistically selling twice a day we can sell 55% of the tech

putting the numbers at:
500 -- 7
1000 -- 13
1500 -- 20
2000 -- 27
2500 -- 34
3000 -- 40
3500 -- 47
4000 -- 54
4500 -- 60
5000 -- 67
5500 -- 74

just using some quick and dirty math ... there are a lot of other variables not being brought in so this is just a straight production comparison.

Food production was calculated using :
round((farms*5.3 + empty_acres*0.4)*govt_food_bonus*agri_tech)
gov bonus = 1.15 and agri_tech = 2.2 empty_acres = 0

with land = 10260 and producing acres = 10000
TPT = 3360 and FPT = 137576

if anyone wants to double check it ... I have been known to make errors ;)

You're assuming the farmers have nearly full agro tech, right? Which i doubt any of them do.

You also aren't teching every turn so that goes the other way. The bonus turns are pretty insignificant in the express, so I sell 3 or 4 times a day.

yes on the Agri Tech, also a Techer probably still has a few indies for spy production and needs to buy food so it evens out some.

food price this morning was $43. I put 5 million bushel up at the market price of $43. 5 minutes later some idiot drops price to $40. i recall my food and put it up at the new market price of $40. Now another idiot comes and drops the price to $39. I'll wait another couple hours. if my food does not sell, I'll recall and drop the price down to $36 and sell it at that price the rest of reset.
