Sorry if i get shot for posting this in here but i know many of your players have played this game at some point in the past ;P

TLK is comming upto its 100'th age!
Many people are returning to play this memorable set so i wanted to let "the earth lot" know it was happening ;P

Waaaaaay too much time to play that game(successfully). I played one age years ago and was burnt out for life. As Murf said...never again.

ya, agreed

that game was fun for 1 age back in undergrad, but not any more

although I liked a lot of the rudimentary combat pieces, and some of the ideas have stuck with me as I've begun thinking about EE2 more :p

First off, sequels are never better than the original. And since most of us still play earth because of the people, how is EE2 gonna be good?

Secondly, TLK was ONLY good in the beginning. Especially when you'd create a 20 shaman healing group, all elite. Then at the highest level you grabbed hundreds of apprentice fighters and trained them up to be ultimate PVP armies.

ee2 = project name only -- it won't be anything like what is here now :p

a much more immersive ingame experience will come with the new game :)
expected beta date: Winter 2011

From what I've heard they have some really good ideas for the new game. I think it will result in a lot more positive playing atmosphere.

Carriers would be cool - there could be a fun dynamic there.

Maybe snipers too! Maybe a military op solely designed to kill troops?

Tradewars 2002 was badass telnettery. I think I still have a TWGS Gold account. Maybe one of these days if I can find it, I'll set up a couple games for you guys. Let me know if there's any interest in such things :)
