Planning on going on a drive with the wife to see the fall foilage, starting from about 15 miles west of NYC. Was wondering if anyone here knows if the leaves are peaking in the ramapos, catskills, or poconos?

spelling has never been a strength.

I'm not sure if I trust the weather channel map - the palisades down by the George Washington bridge were barely at 50% yesterday.

i drove up to the white mountains in northern NH a few weeks ago, it was incredible. they're past their peak here in MA.

The Palisades are cliffs along the western shore of the lower Hudson river. The George Washington Bridge connects Manhattan (New York City) to New Jersey.

The Ramapos, Catskills, Poconos (and Kittatinnys) are the local ranges of the Appalachian mountains.
