i thought i read in a post somewhere about the app hopefully being pushed out at the end of this month. is there any update with that, or am i just imagining that i read that? with primary ending at the end of the month i thought i really might have read that.

I think Facebook app is a port to here, u can play through Facebook if you wanted, but if you don't want all the Facebook junk ads in your way, you probably should still play here then?

Would be nice if everyone of us became a member of the Facebook group and be a fan on day 1

you can play through facebook or through http://www.earthempires.com

both will work the same way, same codebase and have generally the same design.

you will be able to link your current account to facebook or use an account created on facebook to play from ee.com, it will go both ways.

and yes, Facebook will be launched pretty soon. I'm working on the new public re-design right now and it's coming along nicely. The other pieces are all in place, I just need to start tying it all together to make a good user experience, and we need to do a little more work to prep for new users and help them figure out the game from scratch :)

on a side note, i tried running some turns on my HTC Desire. was fluffing difficult. this site isn't very friendly to mobile devices is it?

tan: it's not super friendly yet.... buy me a smart phone and I'll develop for it.

and ironman: we're pushing players to join the solo servers before attempting to join the clan-based servers.
we don't want players to just be farmed, but on the same token, I started playing the alliance server first and I did fine. :p

posted on AT that I needed an alliance, and I had 5 alliances contact me within the first 10 min the thread was up.

i would love to see that kind of situation, where players enter the mentoring process from day 1 if they want to, but we also want to encourage players who learn through discovery to not get farmed into oblivion :p

Regarding smart phone I'd say biggest issue for me on a HTC desire is u click a side button and it takes u somewhere else and I know I'm pressing the right one but who knows what happens after that what problem did u have with it?

when i zoom in, the sidebar comes to the middle and keeps shifting places as i zoom in and out, and when i click on a button on the sidebar, it usually doesn't work, with the exception being the "main" button, which works fine.

if i zoom all the way out and the sidebar is in its normal position, then the buttons work fine, but at that point, the links are too small to tap with any accuracy. it takes me a few tries to get where i want.

pang, i'm surprised you don't already have a smartphone. i would have figured you for an iPhone boy. :P

I have to put my BlackBerry in "Column View" to click anything on the side.

I also have to refresh the main page all the time, since it doesn't auto-refresh.

yeah the HTC is good, just waiting for the Froyo update to get released for this phone. also waiting to see if Flash 10.1 comes along as well, because there's still some flash content that isn't loading, although most of it works fine.

I like it... I'll fan you guys... I got hooked into making a facebook account, most of my familys on it! Including my granddaughter and most of my nephews and nieces.... My mom, 1 of my sisters and my brother... So I had no choice! I even played farmville for a while till I got teased about it by another friend! LOL! :)
