Yeah,

Thanksgiving at the Folks, no ICQ. I just checked ICQ and sent a reply. I did manage to unexpectedly check the MOnsters boards twice, and the AT boards 2-3 times:)

Nothing like 13 people, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, for 5 days:) with my 3 yr old son getting away right after his bath, and doing his best NASCAR impersonation for about 10 laps around the inside of the house. GOod times:)

You know, I used to enjoy the political discussions on AT

it gave AT a different type of life and vitality...and gave different people different ways to enter into the community.

people can ignore the threads:)
I liked it better when 2-3 of them were around:)

as I have very different point of views now, than I did 10 years ago:) would be fun arguing against myself:P

agreed,

it will be our job to recruit out of primary, and bring them to our game and train them.

WHich also means, we need to go somehwat easy on the newer players...be hard enough to show them we know our stuff,

but not enough to push them out of the game.

Hmmmm:)

I feel throughly complisulted.

Complimented in that I achieve my allainces desired objectves every reset, despite the warmonger in me.

Insulted in the insinutaton of how I bend over to make it happen. Which happens less than most realize, but yes it does happen.

I think Helmet is right, and I think Pang is right.

Warring is more fun and warring allainces require more activity and it is easier to build a dominant alliance that wars.

But, the server is small enough right now we need to be somewhat cooperative in seeing that everyone gets a chance to play the want to play the majority of the time.

Which may even require Monsters to war on occasion (once a year?) as part of that responsibility to the server

Nice seeing old friends. It is only good for the game, that the most highly competent leaders in the game's history are returning 1 by 1.

I think there is a lot of potential on this particular thread.

It'll take some work and compromise, and Im' sure everyone won't be happy,

but for once,

Dagga may have the genesis of a good idea.

I was out of the loop on everything,

but, I had SOL's hit down to NA or LAF.

And, I do agree with the above post, LAF would have been better off bringing in allies from the beginning, or making SOL hit them and have kithen sink ready.

Even Dagga conceded that woulda be legit.
which, is good to know for all alliances in future resets.
SOL pushes you into a war, its legit to call in xkitchensinkx

Patience, we have signups going on right now.

basically, Mosnters will make an offical post where they walk down the runway in their outfit. Only judge those posts, 1 per Monster.
ignore mostly all the catcalls and responses, though in a way they could infuence your decision a bit:)

trying to figure out a price for the winner.

We'll start the thread in a day or two...I'm guessing Friday, as our closing event of the Monster party.

The New Monsters Birthday Bash!

It'll take a while to get it going, we're kinda slow:)

But according to what we can find in our dungeon, the birthdate of the Monsters, according to Cartoon is OCT 31, 1996.

Apparently, today we turn 14!

It may take a bit to get this party started,
but expect to see some names you don't see often,
expect to see our first annual, New Monsters Costume contest here on AT....though we're waiting on our judge to respond that she's judging:P

and hopefully, after a few bans, and a few spankings (from Patience please) we'll have left you a little more entertained, and a little more wasted...errr I mean with a little bit more of your time wasted.

Its going to be at least a 24 hr party, though a few of us may take a few days for our creeky muscles to get over here.

Its a Monster Bash!

Sorry to dissappoint Ivan,

Monsters first first strike happened years ago around the turn of the millenium, the reset after Machiavelli and his alliance Armageddon hit New Monsters, "because they were bored"

The following reset one of the largest if not the largest server war ever broke out....and NM answered the call to help some allies, and hit...you gussed it,

Armageddon, smoked them, and turned the tide of the server war...NM was the tipping point.

only time NM has ever FS anyone. But it was in support of allies in a full out server war.

But....all I can say is.

It's coming!
