you dont need much money for the labs though, because early buildings are quite cheap.

the tech start strategy involves getting some amount of labs, probably around 1900 (minus c-sites), and researching your tech type that you will use for your future strategy. like, get bus and res techs, and then convert to casher (enterprise zones and residences). or get industry tech and convert to commie indy w/ industrial complexes.

at the beginning you get a few farms or indies and sell on the private market for first 80 turns to help fund your way, and after 100 turns you can sell on public. this will raise the money for the labs

Somewhat, I don't even sell on pm after the initial 100 troops/100 bushels sale, I just top off at 100 farms to begin, then start building labs, you do build CSs as you go, ie, you have 20bpt and can only build 19 or less buildings, build CSs till over your current bpt, by doing so you cover both bases, labs and CSs, don't go over 60bpt unless your land target is above 15k acres ;-)

Also, I don't build any Indy for spies until I get ready to tech, usually I start teching once I reach the 400tpt mark, just enough to have some to sell for my next batch exploration so that I have funds to build the empty land.

Was gonna tech.... not this week with "new members" l likely gonna under cut the crap out of the market.

Aside from that, I dont build ICs for spies till I have 900ish labs. Once ready to tech build 100-120 (pending BPT) ICs at 100% spies or 80% spies 20% turrets.

Lastly I helped Braden last week by not farming him so his score is invalid and subject to coordination.

Cable, how are you funding those 900 labs if you have no ICs? Can you seriously build 900 acres these days without selling anything?

I usually play techer.

I never build any farms at all. I go for indy start selling turrets in PM for the first 40 turns and then on public when out of protection. I build ICs and some CSs (around 50% to 60% of the target) till 1900 acres, then I batch explore to around 3800k .. top my bpt to 75 ... build my 50% empty land with labs and rebuild the ICs into labs and then start teching at around 1700 tech points per turn.

I don't get myself into complicated calculations, but I just FEEL it is more efficient for ur turns to start teching over 1500 point instead 500 to 1000, especially that in Express i find the tech marker very slow in the beginning, so no real benefit from teching early.

Nope, I just checked and braden's country is purple. Reason for deletion was he coordinated with Cable last reset by not getting farmed by him.
