havent read all the posts but something that i find annoying is a 40k acre country hits me and then i retal and get 800 acres..... like can the fact that the aggressor hit you remove the nerfed returns for a fatty country? maybe for those in this clan GDI that would be a deterrent from massive countries hitting this clan at least, cause retals would be true old retals for the land you have

I remember asking a fellow middle schooler, what is this thing you call "downloading" we were on prodigy at the time and that was its own little portal not really including a browser to the internet that I recall

AOL chatrooms were fun though, could download a whole CD in a day if you messaged bots for emails that had song attachments and configured your settings to automatically download all files in your inbox

college had massive backend network bandwidth that allowed P2P transfers of up to 18 megs a sec from others on college networks via the now defunct i2hub. used to binge family guy and simpsons, they took like 20 seconds to download an episode. quite a jump from 56k dialup a few years earlier! was quite mindblowing how fast things changed

my 2nd job had some of their old backups on old floppy disks, the old 8 inch and 5 1/4! it was amazing to see the size of an 8 inch floppy that stored basically nothing!

i remember seeing pulp fiction on laserdisc and that was like wow quality!

i played civ1 on win3.1 i think it was, either that or win95.

i remember us getting a 386 and being super jealous when my best friend got a 486! we started with a ti99 and then an apple2c though. feeding in a floppy to play a game!

had to plug in an adapter to my first car's tape deck so that it could connect to a portable cd player, but man that would skip like crazy on bumpy roads

at least I never had to learn programming feeding punch cards in a stack through a machine to see what the output would be!

1998 there were 10, 20, 30k players? or tons of bots? who knows but clans late 90s did have hundreds of members. was a very different time for this game thats for sure

well I'm honestly impressed by the responses to this! its nice to see activity still in this game. obviously I know untags run a risk in alliance based servers. no hard feelings except for the fact that you're either too new to know my name or I haven't played in so long that I was forgotten :P

if I were to suicide as an untag I certainly wouldn't use my name! and if I were to actually wack someone, it'd be with purpose and I'd want you to know my name!

since its been a while though I'd be looking to make friends not enemies at this point. along with looking to say to old friends, and hoping old enemies might leave the past in the past?!

don't know you but from what you said seems like you had a good time here and some challenging times, learn and keep on living, play if you want to play, and don't give up

Earthquakes surely were the worst on million acre countries. I’m pretty sure I have some ancient screenshots somewhere of some of the massive earthquakes some of my countries endured lol

Also pretty sure you should just figure out your own formulas if you’re making something new. You’ll need to understand it yourself in order to maintain it
