What you gotta remember, and I cite from memory now, is that Darkness isn't known for their high NW finishes or anything like that. If they just net out the set many of you will beat them and they may put 1-2 countries in the top 10, maybe they could place all their best players in one team and finish 3rd in TNW.
Well they just changed strategy. If this strategy is successful in giving them more t10s, maybe finish 2nd or 1st in TNW or such this strategy will have proven successful, and there's no reason whatsoever, from a netting perspective, to go back to something that has been proven not to work for years and years.

So it's really up to you, non-Borg, will you make this move a proper netting move that the Borg have every relevant reason to continue over and over again, or will it indeed be a suicide, perhaps with consequences over sets to come, that would be illogical to repeat by them or anyone else in the future?

TL;DR - You can't just namecall your way out of this, if you offer no opposition to being fluffimilated(censored for woke/young eyes) you will be fluffimilated over and over again. And if you offer lackluster opposition, like fighting amogst yourselves or GSing a few cubes 5-10 times all by yourselves, you will be assimilated.
Only by actively fighting together will you avoid fluffimilation. That said, it seems like you elected to be fluffimilated. Thats YOUR choice tho.

Darkness is known for their relentless warring and for fighting out numbered and prevailing. War does run thick in our veins so I guess we will asstimulate the enemies. Well at least that is what the supreme cube tells me.

Either way by killing everyone ahead of us this set we will place 1st and win triple crown for the first time ever!

I think you misunderstood me. What I really did was provde justification for the ongoing fluffimilation, even tho justification is irrelevant.

All we need is 10 or 15 dedicated players who will commit to warchats on irc every day and an irc channel with a warbot, and we could kick the Borgs collective fluff next set. Send me a message if you would like to do that and if we have enough I'll work on it. if the Borg hasn't driven Dragon and Scourge right out of the game.

But this set I was netting and the Borg can fluff off and watch my still living, Borg resistant country sit happily in vacation all month.

Honestly Getafix even getting 5 guys to actually show up be online at the same time is hard now days. Look at how many times darkness / borg is so close to making a kill but we need that last 5th guy to show up to make the final 20 hits.

If you and Gerdler can get a team of 5 to work together for more than 4 days I will seriously tip my hat off to you guys.

May I remind everyone that the former iteration of the borg; darkness has warred every single set for the last 4 years. Reminds me of Mercs in 1a. The collective chooses violence every set so if you plan to “chase/force/push” the borg out you gotta be willing to commit to never Netgaining again…

Endurance wars are a tough commitment but part of daily life for the Borg.

Yeah that doesn't sound like a good use of free time at all. You can have team server. I've enjoyed it for a few years but I don't want to be forced to play a certain way that I find tedious.

I will hit the vacation button and find something else to do a few minutes each day lol.

IF someone was actually fighting valiantly and not just all giving up/going on vacation/letting themselves be killed, it wouldn't be a non-starter for me to make my first country since then and help out.

The team server has always sucked because the game devs never successfully ensured SOS dictates gameplay. It is Alliance 2.0, down to 35-40 players.
