Technically, comparing NWs after buying will still tell you how much NW you gain after buying 1 tech point at that price. Doing this is useful for destock jumping. But it doesnt tell you how much NW a point is worth without calculating everything else with known values, and using a turn to tech and compare NW wont either since other NW factors change with turn usage and you would need to know values too.

Cash = NW
Spending cash to buy tech = deduct little of NW to gain NW.

Conclusion: don’t ever think you bought 1M tech then will get 2M NW
