The music is fantastic.

The vocals are good but I feel they are the weak part. Some of vocal harmonies seemed a bit off to me (not necessarily wrong, but just not what I would have looked for maybe) but I'm not really able to put my finger on exactly what it is. This is of course ironic as I am an abysmal singer. I also feel that for the mixing, the vocals maybe seem too prominent at times; there are a few times where I feel like it is the musical equivalent of watching an obviously green screened video.

All in all I enjoyed it though and while it's not my typical style of music (alt rock/metal) I think it is really good and know people who I would recommend it to. It is a good summer song and would be nice to listen to while enjoying a beer and relaxing.

"Obvious green screen" production value is probably because its recorded at a home studio or something. Look past that and it's a nice chill song. Probably 10x better in person not on YouTube.

He wanted honest feedback and I gave honest feedback. He is assuredly more talented than I am and is undoubtedly aware of that aspect of it, but it is worth noting. I already said the song is nice. That is the sort of worthless feedback he doesn't need though. =P

Yes it's recorded produced and mixed on a broken laptop using a $75 program (Mixcraft) BUT,
random listeners do not know or care about that. It is what it is. Also we are songwriters not singers/
performers in any form or fashion but again a listener just hears what we perform so songs must be recorded to the best of our ability for it to be heard by others and to have them perform it! (those from the old EEVIL days may remember American Avenger as a player, I play with him... I mean we perform with each other... no wait.. umm.. we co-write and produce as a team!) *wipes brow
And it's a better hobby than .. let's say smoke crack? :-p
I could be doing some other really stupid fluff on my down time, then again, I do run all my turns playing here

Good memory Serp. American Avenger was Chaz (I think he dropped AA after a while using Chaz) He's my bro-in-law I am currently writing with.
FlameHead is my oldest, he was about 14-16 at that time. He retired so I recruited Scuzzobutt, my yougest. I use to pay him $5 a week to play his turns. When he attacked he would just back attack with no regard to the break or readiness, just hit as quick as he could so he could get away from the game :p.

Not bad. One thing i'd say is to make the vocals not get overpowered by the instruments. It was hard to hear the vocals over the instruments at times. It is a very mellow type of music which deff has a place in my play list :)

This is something we have been working on diligently. First feedback we use to receive was, "I can't hear the words", "I don't understand what your saying", etc.. So we have consistently pumped up vocals or lowered music. Chas's reply to this is always, "You can't understand vocals for most songs. I have listened to a song for years and when I one day look at the lyrics, it's not what I thought it was at all". More a believer of -If you like the feel of the song-
I on the other hand am always pushing to raise vocals being able to understand each word.
I should send Chas here to make an account and then RECRUIT him back into the game! :-p
