All you do in a wiki is create a link to a page isn't there on some other page.... and then follow that link to create it ;)

I was going to do our page.... but I've never messed with wiki before. I see nothing that shows you how to make a list, or table of contents type with different sections.

I share Thomas's pain, as its been a while since I had a chance to muck around much with wikis and I've lost what little knowledge I had, it would seem.

As best as I can tell, the page you linked us to is not the page you need to edit in order to add alliance pages. The problem is that I cannot find the page I need to edit to add my link.

I'll continue the search later. Unless I get lazy and decide to link to it in the same area as the text "This page lists alliances on the Alliance Server" and rely on someone else to move it for me.

PS: Doing this exact type of work has been on my radar for a while now. I've been busy, and this thread has prompted me to jump start my efforts, even if I can't give it the attention I'd like to just yet.

And, Monsters, do not forget to specify, when time and place shall serve, that I am an ass.

go to any page, like... say http://wiki.earthempires.com/....php/Current_events_Earth and then add a link to somewhere by going: [[Netgainers Anonymous]] or whatever page you want to create, and the link will be RED if it doesn't exist; if so, follow it, and it will let you create the page

then you can add

[[Category: Alliances]]
[[Category: Alliances on the Alliance Server]]

to get them added to those categories

It's there by default. Just mark your section headings with == NAME == and the table of contents gets generated.

Thanks... I just cut the information fields out of it that don't apply to us. I left the motto there though, even though we have no motto.

What you took as a motto is just a random quote... there's about 30 that our site chooses from at random when you load our front page.

hm yea collab/imag/evo are the first few alliances to start interlinking... and I don't think any of those three warred Monsters recently... in fact, has monsters been at war at all recently?

Ironically, I missed our last war because I was deployed to a war zone. This also means giving due justice to our wiki page is a little bit of a chore for me... Give me time and our rich and storied history will get posted :-)
