not enough people play, so you only really have a few people running the market. its very volatile so if we only have a few farmers like last the prices go haywire.

The only thing that is expensive are military & oil.

Honestly- I don't see how oil IS NOT expensive every set. There's not a single useful oiler strategy on EXPRESS.

As for military costs, it seems not as many people are saving their turns this set. Maybe because tech sold so cheap the first day; but who knows?!

Tech being average of 2850 isn't even considered expensive anymore? Times have changed!

Bushels are currently $49. Haven't been expensive for most of the set, but now, it's expensive.

Business/residential tech average price over last 24 hours is $2725, as mentioned before I would consider that expensive.

Add in the military and oil, and that's everything!

It does appear that a year ago there would be 160-170 countries and now there seem to be about 115. Hmm

Charging $300 for oil is a rip off... price point should be $200 for oil on average

When my private market is cheaper then the public market - nuff said... I'll but private out of spite if its only a few $$ cheaper just to make oil sellers smarten up to sell lower - that or land grab them for the rigs and make it myself lol

I don't know what data you just spammed, but go to eestats.com and click "market" / "last 24 hours" and check the averages. The averages are $2725+. i would 100% define those as high tech prices. I guess your mileage may vary

The problem with oil is:

Nov 5, 12:00 Nov 5, 16:00 $80 $80 $80.00 10,000
Nov 5, 16:00 Nov 5, 20:00 $85 $85 $85.00 15,000

Nov 6, 16:00 Nov 6, 20:00 $97 $199 $114.67 337,120
Nov 6, 20:00 Nov 7, 00:00 $111 $144 $125.31 186,750
Nov 7, 00:00 Nov 7, 04:00 $157 $160 $158.38 253,460
Nov 7, 04:00 Nov 7, 08:00 $110 $160 $139.31 718,743
Nov 7, 08:00 Nov 7, 12:00 $120 $160 $149.68 623,858
Nov 7, 12:00 Nov 7, 16:00 $144 $350 $258.34 836,470
Nov 7, 16:00 Nov 7, 20:00 $150 $311 $262.60 670,037
Nov 7, 20:00 Nov 8, 00:00 $307 $311 $307.11 372,759

About 5 million oil over 2 1/2 days consumed so far. And I'm sure most of that bought was for stock.
That's basically 250 turns from one oiler on 10k land. And that's not even as a fascist.

So the only viable strategy as an oiler on EXPRESS is to buy up all the oil and resell high. And for all those non-military tech players, they are paying $400 a barrel.
Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

You can click 'history' under the 'orders' tab under MARKET. It shows you exact information of prices bought and sold. Eestats just shows averages.

NOTE: I just reread and my description is a bit confusing.

If you click 'MARKET' then you'll see a screen that has:
Buy Goods Buy Tech Orders
Sell Goods Sell Tech History

Click 'HISTORY' and select a market item and do search. It will list exact information of bought items rather than averages posted on eestats.

i know you can do that. i *want* the averages because the averages show what price most stuff is selling at and that's what's meaningful? like, your hourly things don't mean anything anyway because if they show tech sold for $2000 it says nothing about how much of it sold for that price... the bulk of it is moving at $2725, some for even more, some for less, creating an average, of, $2725. whcih is a high price for this period in the set imo.

example:

Nov 7, 12:00 Nov 7, 16:00 $2000 $2888 $2,659.08 209,571

Min price 2k, max price 2.8k and out of 209,571 sold the average price was $2,659.08

I selected every 4 hours- but if you look above to that data I spammed there are large blocks of time, like 16 hours worth of 2.4k tech yesterday.

Yes, i just told you i understand that. who cares if the min was $2000, for all we know 100 points sold for that price. the only useful meaning we can derive from this is that the average price was $2659 which is pretty high.

a year ago.. average prices for most sets were

military $130-$145
tech $1800-$2200
oil $120-$180
food varies, but usually $40-$45.

Everyone remember when bushels were $3 to $5? I remember leaving the game for a very short while during those years...maybe a set or two...and coming back to ~$30 bushel thinking wtf did I miss?

I agree, though, it seems everything is higher the last few sets. I need to learn a commie or techer strat.

I think that removing the 3 tech allies had an effect on tech prices. I would hang in for tech at $2000 or maybe $2200 (bus/res) a year ago. Now I'm satisfied (though not exactly happy) to get it at $2500

I remember them at that price hammer. I assumed they lowered the amount of bushels produced and consumed per turn to so that 1 dollar wouldn't make such an extreme difference when buying and selling. I could be completely wrong tho, but it's all I came up with without researching 😜
