You know, I just can't win on the markets. If I'm trying to resell, I'm always up against declining prices. If I have SO's, I'm always up against increasing prices.

So I've set SO's for turrets at 2 significantly different prices. Watch turret prices go thru the roof.

Now. Routers. I have a 10 year old Netgear router. I have to power cycle the thing 3 or 4 times a day anymore.

That I need to buy a new one is a no-brainer. However, it seems like there's not a single "this is it" router out there at least for $50 or $60. That's about what I'm willing to spend.

I looked over a bunch of reviews on Newegg for various routers and could prolly choose, but I thought I'd see what ay of you guys might suggest in the price range.

I have a Netgear in the basement. Works fine 3 floors up in the attic. For whatever reason, B and G works way better than the N.

More wavy the line, faster the speed, but lesser the penetration.

As for the router...
Sorry there just isn't a "The One" router anymore under $100. Not sure what happened.

I have a Buffalo that came preloaded with DD-WRT. At the time I bought it, it was the one... but also it was over $100.

It locks up every few hours. I have 2 wired and one wireless connection on the router.

Routers aren't hard to make. There's a lot of good ones for real cheap out there. Unless you need to go 4+ stories in either direction for your wireless shouldn't be a problem to find a good one. just check online store then look at reviews
