Recently you added links to the public market so you can click the "you can buy" column and not have to copy/paste the values.

It don't work! The proper value does get copy/pasted into the input field but after submitting I get an error stating that that action would've cost me some few hundred billion.

I'm using firefox.

On a sidenote: How come this bug hasn't been squashed on the test server??

It's really really weird because, like I said, the numbers that get put in are correct and work as expected if I input those by hand. Just not when clicking the link.

I'm using Firefox 9.0 but that don't matter: Just tried it with Opera and it's giving me the same problem. Could this be related to FFA only??

That was happening to me as well in 1a..

And the thing is, it has nothing to do with the comma, cause if i typed it out manually with a comma or without, it worked.

I'll confirm this. I clicked the "You can buy" columns and couldn't buy anything, even if its only 10000 troops. The number fills into the text field correctly, but you just get an error message after submitting the form:

This action would cost $17,308,746,598.
You only have $x,xxx,xxx,xxx.

I'll also be honest, I accidentally clicked that column at least 4 times now, and I'm glad in all 4 cases, I didn't end up buying anything (or I would have emptied 2b cash in a misclick).

You need to change those numbers so it doesn't look like normal text if you want them to be clickable, pang.

Also, I thought maybe the issue was that it copied over the comma, but if you delete the comma it still gives you the error it would have required several $billion if that helps.

The commas aren't he problem because you could type in the numbers manually with commas as well, and it would work.

The shortcuts like "10k" or "10m" would also work for buying 10k units or 10m units.

Is it possible the issue is the space added before the amount? " 1,492,453" instead of "1,492,453".

I figured out the problem.

The javascript was filling in BOTH the units to buy field and the price to buy field with the same number.

So if you tried to buy X units using the You Can Buy, it would try to buy X units at $X, costing a total of X*X dollars, which is displayed if you don't have any money.

I figured this out when I tried to buy 300k troops and it tried to use 900m dollars, so I checked our trying to buy 719551 tanks and it tried to spend 719551 * 719551 = 517753641601 dollars (as a democracy, so no commision interference).

See the first post of the other thread - 3696 * 3696 * 1.06 = 14480040.96 (as non democracy).

This problem doesn't happen as often on the Buy Tech page because people buy less quantities of tech (say 5000 tech at $5000 only costs 25 mil dollars, but it will buy 5000 tech at the lowest prevailing price rather than at $5000).
