Who plays only single player? MW3 is all about the multiplayer online aspect.

It is a big RPG series. 3 = Morrowind, 4 = Oblivion, 5= Skyrim. Obviously you've heard of Skyrim now, but you may have heard of those other two as well.

Skyrim is one of the best games I have ever played!
So amazing if RPGs are your thing...

The plot is a litte hard to understand, if you have not played a single TES game; isn't a problem if you don't care about those things, but being a hard mass effect and JRPG fan is one of my basic needs... Thanks god for wikipedia and the nets alas that is no longer a problem for me.

Honestly they should give you a run down of the whole creation myths (of every race you play) based on what "you" believe and maybe a resume of what happened on all the ages, even if only as an optional part before the whole jailed fiasco part (like a dream the night they cactured ya or something).

You don't need to understand the entire Elder Scrolls universe to enjoy the game. The Oblivion crisis is mentioned in passing, and the rest can be learned as you play the game. The main plot isn't hard to understand at all. If people really want to know about the entire ES universe, that is why you can read the books in the game.

In Mass Effect you are given 1 paragraph of "lore" and that does wonders to the player experience and it could had been done easily in Skyrim.

At the start the Nord prisoner asks/tells you were trapped while crossing the borders, being able to STATE/PICK the reason you crossed would do wonders to the immersion factor.

You know Fallout is made by the same company right... And that Fall Out came AFTER the TES series, making Fall Out the "Rip off".

If anything you should be thanking the Elder Scroll series, because no TES = No Fall Out.

Fallout 3 was the first one made by Bethesda with the same engine used in Morrowind (Elder Scrolls 3). The others were top down and you could kill kids, a feature which was removed in Fallout 3.

my 360 was stolen when I was playing oblivion, so lost my save but I decided to give it another shot before skyrim. I think I'm about 30% done. Then a mate returned fallout3 which I thought I'd lost... that's only about 30% done too. So I bought mw3 instead, but I'm too broke for xboxlive, so erm... I gave it to my cousin for his birthday, after 6hrs play through. I don't think I need skyrim just now...

He was complaining Skyrim was a copy of Fall out, even though TES series is much older with means that fallout IS the copy.

He was saying the games looked similar and I said both (the latest releases) are from the same company.

Not knowing TES was first = annoying Teen/kid that knows nothing about old games.

Claiming TES is older without knowing fluff about Fallout 1 = annoying teen that thinks he knows what he is talking about; on the other hand I am willing to bet TES is older :P

they're completely different. if you have time to kill, Skyrim, if you want a rush for the moment, do the MW3 missions :) Anyways, cool graphics and I think (a personal opinion) they both have good stories, better than anything else on the market atm anyways. :)
