I feel like I'm all over the place. Should I tear down my farms and buy ez and residences instead? I'm also not sure whether or not I should invest in technology, and if I should, should I concentrate on either business or residential and not try buying both at the same time? Or perhaps something completely different?

Thankful for input. It's been a couple of years since I played the game.

generally speaking, the only buildings you should have for optimal networth are your strat buildings (ez/res for casher), construction sites, and a handful of IC for spy production.

given you only have <100 farms, i assume you're planning on being a casher. 1:1 ez:res. same with tech...although at your acreage, it might be a good idea to get a good bit more land too :p

Azz Kikr is correct about your buildings.

Investment in business and residential techs is necessary. Your tax revenue can be more than tripled with enough business and residential tech. While growing, I aim to keep 160% each in business and residential tech at a minimum. Since they multiply with each other, 160% in each gives a 1.6*1.6 = 256% income bonus. Once you get them up around 175% later in the set, they make your tax revenue more than triple what it would be without any technology.

Because they multiply with each other, it is best to invest in them equally. Not only will 120% each in business and residential techs take less points than 140% in one and 100% in the other due to the tech effectiveness curve, but 120% in each will give a 144% boost to income because of the multiplication factor.

Thanks guys, I'll adjust my strategy accordingly.

How important is a good defense (turrets, tanks and troops) versus a good spies per acreage? Because of the -10% in military strength? Is it a valid option to simply set the industrial production to 100% spies and then continue with a weak defense, hoping nobody notices, and spend the money on offense to do landgrabbing instead?

To do the intel spy ops is easy. If you have significantly more spies than me. I could probably still get the op maybe 4th try. So relying purely on spies to defend u isnt a very good idea.

Having a higher spal may deter some people though if they fail 2 attempts.

And you mention industrial production. As casher you want to have 100% spy production with your indis. Then you buy turrets/troops/jets from the public market. As its the most cost efficient way. (rather than producing them)

I changed my industrial productions to 100% spies, thanks...

I'll be building the unbuilt land as soon as I have turns, but I can't help but feel fat? When I look at other people in my proximity in the "SCORES" list, I have by far the most acres. Having said that, should I focus on getting money for my defenses or should I continue to explore/landgrab and build buildings and get biz and res tech? Or maybe even weapons tech?

First you should build up your land completely, that will help you look less fat. Then you should build construction sites or cash your turns and get both military and tech. Your country needs both of them very badly. You shouldn't be growing for a while, a casher with no tech doesn't have much chance of competing with everyone else.

He has 56 BPT.

In a set that ends in less than 2 weeks. He has no need for a higher BPT.

As for unbuilt land, he said he was building it when he has turns.
And yes tech is important, but military is about 100x more important considering he only had 11k turrets.

Yea I agree. Also ent/res buildings are more efficient at around 55/45 ent/res, so get a few more ent's while building up to max your income. Defensive military (turrets) should always be a priority though.

After I joined NA in Alliance my Primary country became somewhat of a live experiment. At the moment I'm ranked #334 (country #815) and, well, this is where I got. Considering this set will be ending soon, I figure I'll be increasing some of my tech and increase my defenses.

What kind of goals should I aim for when I play as a rep casher? How much land do I want, i.e., how do I know what my goals should be?

Anyway, thanks to you all for your help. Much appreciated!

Ummm not too sure what the land goal is for primary. Id assume it would be lower than alliance.

But in alliance most people that go all explore aim for 20-25k acres and once they hit that they start using the cash turn button.

And you know your goals by playing in that server a couple times. Seeing whats doable.

(edit: or by comparing yourself to most all explorers in the server. If your grabbing u want to be above the all explores in land. If ur all explore then u want to be close to them)
