Been playing about 4 sets now but could not post in forums until today. Superfly got in touch with a mod for me to fix my account and allow me to public post starting today. Apparently newer members have not been allowing to post in the forums.

Anyway, been playing under weedylar and Darkn3ss with Superfly for a few sets. Prior to this I was old sk00l playing Earth 2025 as a BBS door game back in the 90s. I found this site from doing a Google for Earth 2025.

Sorry it's way old skool. Back in those days (c. 1990-91) the Internet really only existed for the military and universities. There was no such thing as a web browser yet (Mozilla might have just been coming out in beta); the only thing on tcp/ip was telnet and usenet and email and ftp, and virtually no such thing as an ISP. I was able to hit Usenet via my university's computer lab, through a command line interface on a Unix terminal.

So BBSs were what we used for "online games" and Patel's SRE and later Earth 2025 was the fluff, if you were lucky enough to have a local BBS that was running the correct type of BBS software that supported the SRE door game, and had installed SRE (back in the day any phone number > about 20 miles away from you incurred long distance charges by the minute).

Anyway sorry for the ancient history lesson. Lol

It's amazing to me that the SRE algorithm has survived and been ported over to the web. Lots work to do that..

Neat. Hate to waste food like that though, even fluffty Nutella. We used to take dryer lint and wad it up into balls and soak them in Vaseline to make fire starters. They worked really well and I always kept some in my backpack in a baggie.

I should have done a super hot pepper challenge, about an hour ago I tasted my ghost reaper cross pepper and it was quite an experience, good thing I only had a piece and didn't even touch the placenta, it was the hottest thing I've ever had put my mouth through, I was sweating in places I didn't know you can sweat from, my ears started ringing and my chest was warm as if I had few shots of vodka, definitely a good hot sauce pepper LOL.
