i see afaik's point about a bigger, more full, market, but i don't think i'd want to play a solo FFA style game. tho it is something we don't have currently.

and.. games ABC always shared a market and all the games under it shared a different market in tourney's existence.. why change that?

not sure that the idea would strain the market any more than its already strained. a lot of players would choose a different strat just to try and get an edge. *shrug* i do agree that it could strain the market tho.. just not much more than it already is.

i love this server as well. it takes a different kind of player to be able to finish well and not get suicided on.

i think DR should be shortened on this server so LG'ing could bring in more land. tho i do love the ghost acres.

seeing as it's an express server as well.. could maybe bring in random bonuses/negatives each round.. like: Next round there will be a +10% food bonus for every government. could be for anything really that would make it a bit more interesting.

yea, that fix works well if you always use the same computer.

not sure, exactly, how these forums are setup, but could put in a bit of code that queries whether you've read a whole thread or not. could even use it to show how many messages are new on the thread listing before you click the link. some forums even let you hide posts you've already seen.

might be too much work... at least it works as long as you use the same computer

could you not use CSS Classes to dim out thread links that you've already read instead of avisited?

i mean.. when i post a message on a thread now, i see the whole thread again after it posts, so could the link in the thread listing be automatically dimmed out so i don't click it again ?

not as annoying as it was on the old forums b/c at least now i can see, quite plainly, that i was the last poster. just would make it easier to find threads I haven't read yet.
