Maybe a different way of looking at is at what market price point is it better for a Fascist to produce military vs. buying?

Granted the market provides ample opportunity to buy turrets at $90-$115. Which is essentially better or like buying tanks from your PM as an MBR.

Actually it was the market conditions above which gave me the idea. If a commie can finish at 20 mil with prices being that low and selling off portions of their production, then there must be something to producing military vs. buying.

what if oil could hold at an average of 175-180 for a reset?

would an indy/oiler with the indies producing military to hold be worth it...the oil offsets the need to sell military.

of course it's a major assumption oil would hold at those prices and that the market is big enough to sustain the amounts needing to be sold.

Is there a market price for food and oil where a Fascist would beat a commie hands down? Mainly oil because this would be the main production. Any food production would mainly just be eaten by the troops.

the initial setup I was thinking was

about 12580k acres with 5200 Indies and 5200 oil rigs 180 CS and 2k farms.. I hit the wall at about turn 1620... i.e no military resell and military costs are too high, even with biz res tech.

it's the last 200 turns (which cost about 500-750 mil) if I can break thru then i may be looking at a 20 mil net+ country. The extra costs drop the country back into the 16 mil net range +-2 mil.

Dunno yet Rockman just crunching numbers, and trying to figure out how to keep such a country alive and gaining networth.

Express server btw. approx 1830 turns.

The market takes a 6% commission on all sales.

Recalling items from the market early requires 3 turns.
Placing Items on the Market requires 1 turn.

I know it is not the optimum netting country, but asking anyway because I am seriously considering trying to play one.

I dunno if this is a bug or not... but set some goods on the market for 30 hours and they got returned long before the 30 hours was up.

I did not want these goods out in the open where someone could get a portion of it thru a land grab or offensive spyops...

BTW I logged back in on the 18 hour mark and it looks like the goods were on the market for 15 hours?? Does this sound about right?

FSing a clan when their Leader is having major RL issues is just an added layer of stress, i know been there done that. How are ya doing these days, it's kinda warm out this way. Summer time and all, we've got 90+ degree weather. At least it's a dry heat, really cannot stand the humidity. Must be winter time where you are at. Any good snowboarding, or surf, we really could use some of that cooler weather though.

What follows is more for new player retention and for those who just want a quiet game. While i can see it being used in evil ways I believe it would balance itself out in the long run:

without further ado ...

Was thinking that the game could use an option to allow the player to choose their type of protection as either 99 turns or 3600 acres.

As long as the player does not cross the 3600 acre threshold and they have chosen land as the determining factor for protection then all the regular protection rules apply.

(optional) This can be limited to solo servers if need be, i.e. as a precaution for clans against suiciders using this feature to stockpile.

However once the land option is selected it is enforced, thru a cool down period Like GDI.

The Land option can only be selected while under the initial 99 turn protection, and is no longer available after turn 100 is taken.

Benefits:

Useful to teach a new player how to play and manage a smaller country and the benefits of having smaller land in the beginning.

Allows a new player to learn the game mechanics without being harassed.

It's optional to the player so they can break out of protection whenever they feel they are ready for the big leagues.

Wawa, whether they play for a big clan or for you as their leader out to organize them it would boil down to the same thing... taking orders from someone who tells them what to do and when to do it. How to play their country and what they can or cannot do.

i.e. hit these guys but not these other guys, shadow wars are not fun for anyone.

Just because they would be "untagged" does not negate the fact that they just joined an alliance ;) They play untagged so they do not have to be a part of the politics or be dragged into wars they really do not want to fight. there are a few who play untagged for anonymity to get back at some clans they have a beef with. The latter will play a few resets that way and then join back up to their home clan, i.e. just taking care of personal business and keeping their clan mates out of it.
