I think its cheating if you help with the math on the specific hit but if you give her a formula/spreadsheet or a way to calculate it on her own its absolutely not cheating. The reason its cheating is because you then have to learn the targets military size without taking a turn.

go through how to calculate it then let her do it on her own.
