I played an hour before the end of the set and then totally forgot to log in again to take my last few turns, sell food, and spend my remaining cash. But I don't think it was enough to make up the gap anyway. It was still my personal best on this server so I'm happy.

congrats serp, well played.. i thought assassin would win this round given that u had no food stock at all to last the rest of the round, at the point when i was trying to retal u.. u were also heavy in turrets which gives a higher military expenses.. given that assassin has more land, he should be able to exceed what u produce and i thought he will end more than 100k nw easily.. i guess he had much less indy tech than u which gives u an overall higher military production..

my units were queuing at 199 hoping for relax or some guy who had stocked up a lot to buy up after exhausting their private market, but they were left unsold! so cannot make use of reselling to gain some nw haha

that was also what i was thinking aside from the likelihood of less indy tech than u, but he shouldnt be stocking for so long.. food is expensive at that time and it will certainly be cheaper at last few days.. i would be going like what u did which is to play turns and sell a bit of units that is enough to buy food to continue running the next round of turns, then in last 3-4 days, stock up turns in anticipation of food price crash before buying cheaper food to run turns..

last round was even worse.. 1st ranking was not even 80mil nw lol

Well, I snuck into top 10 with my strategy of being scared to attack people as the anger runs deep in this game.

Don't be scared of PS people here, the grand majority understand the dynamics of this server and don't get butthurt unless multi tapped, then all hell can break lose LOL.

Were you the techer or the casher? If the techer, I was worried about you topfeeding me all set, if the casher, you did a great job considering your lower land

It is in the build menu, click on destroy building and drop land option appears.

I think the fundamental problem with speculation about what strategic mistakes I made is the assumption that I made any strategic choices in the first place. you guys play this game on a whole different level than I do. I couldn't make a spreadsheet if my life depended on it; I don't know any formulae; I don't make long-range plans. I just play one day at a time and do whatever in some vague way "feels" right that day.

I had well over a million indy tech points, 156%+, so I doubt it was that. I wasn't stocking food, but I did buy more food than I needed to play all my turns - partly because I was too lazy to calculate how much I needed, and partly because I was paranoid there wouldn't be any food on the public market when I needed it. had maybe 16 mil food on hand that I forgot to log in and sell.


i'm 1000% sure that if I had handed my country off to Delphinus, Serpentor, or any of at least a dozen other players, with two weeks left, they would have finished with over $100 mil nw. there are boatloads about this game I don't know and never will know. so maybe I should feel like an idiot or an underachiever, but I don't. I finished second to the guy who has dominated this server like no one has ever dominated any earth server, was well clear of the third-place finisher, and like I said, had a personal best.


think i'm gonna take this reset off. don't know if or when i'll be back. y'all are a bunch of good people and I've enjoyed getting to know some of you. have fun and be well.

That’s how I play too. I play from my phone and don’t calculate anything as I go, besides my PSs of course. . There’s no point with this strat on this server. Just play by feel is best. Otherwise you’d math yourself to death.

Yeah- when you creeped up in net worth after I started stocking I was sure you were going to grab me. Probably cost me a bil cash

For me its the opposite of Assassin, the grabbing and other stuff is the chores I do to be able to do interesting strategizing and spreadsheeting of my stocking, techs and destocking.

If you look at the news of my countries compared to the other top players on all servers you will see that I grab hard for a shorter period of time than anyone else. Thats partly because I think its boring so I work to avoid it. :)

I think grabbing is the best part of the game. How can I take your land and keep it without pissing you off enough that you’re willing to sacrifice your reset in order to ruin mine.

Add the occasional rainbow farming and pow! You've got Russian roulette going!
