It's not a huge netting feat, but for 5 nobodies hitting 100m avg is a big one. We're learning how to 'net'.

No market buy outs or manipulation, no reselling, no bonuses (for me), no TMBR destock. This was more an appreciation thread.

You should take your bonuses.. and might wanna learn the TMBR destock. But market buyouts and market manipulation are things that 2nd-7th tier netters talk about and things that 1st tier netters rarely do. I find that so many people focus so much energy and thought to those things that rarely do them any good.
Market speculation for sure. We do that to a degree. Something like; 'Yeah I think bushels are about to drop in price, so I buy oil today and bushels tomorrow or the day after' or similar with other market stuff.
But you should know that 98-99% of the top players NWs are created through pure arbitrage plays that are repetetive and have no component of risk involved ie spending more time grabbing better, calculating the breaks without doing spy ops, setting orders, mathing stock balance, checking the market to find the right price to sell at etc etc.

should be kept - otherwise LaF will have a tag with whatever the minimum membership needs to be to win ANW every set :P

No lol it takes all the NW in the tag and divides by the number of countries, and if the number of countries are below 10 it uses 10 as divisor.

Given that there are more tags under 10, the min divider should be 5 or higher. If above 5 devide by the number of countries tagged.

I disagree with the premise but I kinda agree the divider could be lowered.

It's not about 'more tags under 10' but its about where most players are, if 80% of players are in tags over 10 there can still be more tags under 10 members and the game should cater to the majority in this case.

60% of the tagged countries are in tags over 9 members right now.
30% of the tagged countries are in tags of between 5 to 9 members. <--- these are the ones who could potentially benefit

Now you gotta remember that this set Stones 15 members are split in two tags which both together with xlafx also falls in this category both just to make the war practical. So in reality its just over 18% of the server's tagged players who would potentially benefit from this change this set (DONS, HERO, TheOmega,EVOtmac,RAGE). Despite this I think it should be encouraging for them to be able to compete over ANW rankings as well and that would be a good thing to boost the incentives teach new members to play better etc.

Lowering it to 5 would spice things up a bit and I would approve.

bonuses are now pay2win with extra bonus points, so any patrons that achieve anything noteworthy have an asterisk beside them going forward anyway.

its premium that gives the 9 bonus points instead of 8, and theres no way to know who has that and who doesnt as far as i know

also the gap between no bonuses and normal is way higher than normal and premium

well actually as far as i know all dev/mod get auto premium but thats the only ones people can be sure about

its likely though anyone who is a patron and donated is also premium though

oh technically you could spy someone who went full defence and know they have premium but then they arnt netting anyway

Not sure why your getting your beans in a bunch, my only comment was that I was happy with our guys for hitting in my POV a really great average member networth.

You can factor in the best way to win the onsite ranks, however all I did was divide our total networth by the number of members and we're at $130m nw.

I can do the same for LAF and you have LESS than HERO. Is that why you don't like it?

I never made the comparison, I didnt say we were good at netting. I simply as leader of HERO giving my guys public credit. That is all.

En4cer, all by yourself that is a mean feat. You'll have to beat 754m networth as I think thats were we finished up. I should have finished at 260, but got hit twice and gave up. I've seen you guys put up 1b networth countries which is just insane.

mrcuban, when are you going to hit this elusive PB of yours? As Gerd has alluded to; do the basics well and a PB should be more than achievable. I expect to see a PB next set :)

Damn mrcuban - don't ever give up - since coming back i've actually gone on to win a set after being suicided. What kind of strats are you guys playing over there if your going to continue to go it alone i could give a little advice that might help u guys raise the bar a bit.

I haven't done full calcs for this set yet but I'm pretty sure I'll have the 754m covered :)

I think for me its finding the right netting balance between being too anal and still enjoying the game. This set I was pretty close to being on track for a pb before the grabs. Then threw the toys out of the cot...
