has anyone ever seen this tv show? and if so, do i had needed to see the TV show to understand and enjoy the movie?

I thought the movie came out long before the tv show. Boring movie, never watched the show.

not necessarily but it doesn't hurt either. tv-show was nice.

well movie is 10 years after last episode so there might be some recaps. tv-show is only 36 episodes so 4 per day and its over in ~10 days.
