i think i have about 100 attacks from him and about 100 spy ops from him lol...but its cool hes only slowing me down sides he suicided on me and i went up 2 ranks. :)

4 AB's and 161 buildings may be slightly excessive for a retal for a 320A landgrab straight out of protection, but it's hardly suiciding. Now if it were me and I was pissed off, I'd keep going until I was sure that my opponent had lost most of their bpt.

whats funny about this guy is i havent even attacked anyone lol and he comes out of nowhere straight out of protection hitting straight at me i dont know if he hit other people but its just funny...

That's nothing new - apparently looking cross-eyed at someone on this server is perfectly good justification for AB'ing.

it's surprising how many people forget that they don't have a tag enforcing 1:1 retals in express. The reason ss and ps retals are the norm in alliance, ffa, and team is because they are enforced by the alliances. An alliance will go to war over 1:1 nuke or chem retals for land grabs.

A missile or two, three or four special attacks - these can be valid retals for landgrabs on this server, because there is no unified authority enforcing retal rules.

You don't just retal to get your land back, you retal to make the next land grabber think twice. A valid retaliation is anything up to the point where a land grabber decides to stop netting and fight back.

I'd be inclined to agree with that. If I get grabbed once by a player and can't retal with available jets/tanks/troops, He'll maybe eat a missile. Or a Bioterrorism. Or whatever.

And I agree as well that the point to doing a retal in the first place is to show that you are an unattractive grab target.

Where the problem starts is when people do a ton of special attacks for a single grab. I'm not gonna turn a country into a parking lot for a single grab. Well maybe if it's Popcom I might, but by and large, I'm not going to get too upset over a single grab.

I've even modified my attitude on double taps to some degree but for sure, anyone that double taps me is getting something in at least a 3:2 ratio and it prolly won't be standard attacks. I like missile attacks for that because 3 nukes can negate a double tap and then some.

3AB's or GS's or BR's in response to a double tap really is useless, IMO. If you're gonna use those types of attacks in response to a double tap, you have to do a bunch of them or it's pretty much meaningless.

dragon you're right, I probably should edit it to buildings:land for AB - that's what I would do on a triple, or a double if it was that time of the month.

prob is, you are at bigger risk of being killed if you just AB/harmfull spy opp/missile as a retal

More than being killed, you're running the risk of inciting a brawl. If that's your intent, then it's all well and good, but if you're trying to net in peace sometimes it's just easier to let the stray grab here and there go.

Right. The "stray grab here and there" is very easy to overlook and for the reasons you stated.

Double taps, not so easy. Triple taps or more.....

I can let a single or a double tap go especially if they didn't get much but, tapping me 5x in a row = them being as close to dead as I can get them.

I had a guy triple tap me early in the reset. I never retalled due to my strat, but since I'm not going to win and have a stockpile of missles. Should I unload on the only guy to triple tap me in the set?

tis something I would of considered, I didn't bother retalling anyone all set, just couldnt be bothered with it all
