I suggest replacing the existing Medical tech (which almost no one uses) with something people would want more. I suggest "Survey" tech, which would increase your explore rate with up to say 25% or 50% to give it nice round max figures.

Looking at the volumes sold, Medical stands for 1.1% on Alliance, 0.3% on Tourney and 0.2% on Team and Primary.

I like this idea a lot although the numbers need to be greatly reduced. I think a base of 100% with a max of 115% would be appropriate.

or suppose different countries had different techs?
or building tech increasing how fast you can build

the medical tech was invened when the game was considered to be a balance of war game and net game

since this site hates wargaining and spying you might as well get rid of all the military tech and replace it with more netting tech

mmm these days i'd say people think it's more of a kill-defenceless-netters game... just look at warring alliances all stacked up allied together.... against a few smaller netting alliances...

I miss that, but do love it's replacement probably more so.
