Why not limit the amount of times your country can be attacked to like 1 per second. Would give a war admin time to notify a person(even total noob) in time to have a chance at walling.

Once the player logs in, the limit is removed after they navigate away from the main menu.

Thoughts?

my biggest beef with it is that walling is too strong.. especially today when most warchats are marginal on turns. the only chance monsters, evo, omega or a normal sized rage has to kill a suicider alone is that he does not wall. same is true for any one tag on team.

You need a hard counter for walling like:

if a country has active bioterrors equal to or greater than civilians/100; all pop dies instantly next time a turn is taken.

AND

the first turn used after being attacked with special attacks has a maximal pop growth of 0 no matter what.

It doesn't give a large clan any advantage, I should have titled it Defends limited to 1/second.

It seems like that would help curb the over powered FS and give more players a chance to wall, not just the people that are online 24/7.

Under your original proposal:
A group of 10 people can do a maximum of 10 attacks per second.
A group of 5 people can do a maximum of 5 attacks per second.

That clearly gives an advantage to the larger clan.


By your second proposal:
How would you manage 10 people pressing the attack button to a defender receiving 1 attack per second? Would you give the other 9 attackers an error message? That's kinda stupid.

I know the only possible savior to this game is new meat. New meat gonna say fluff it when he logs in and sees he dead, especially if he uses ghq or eestats and sees that he was attacked 7x/sec from one country and automatically thinks "fluffing cheater".

The people who frantically send attacks are the ones that are going to matter when the defender logs in.

It would change many strategies, do you focus on getting a few kills or have your crew set tabs on someone you expect to wall and when he logs in you all put it to him? You wouldn't lose half your best players to impossible CM rushes in the FS either.

As far as details that's on pencil pushers like you Celphi, I'm just the cool uncle with fluffing brilliant ideas.

most players who don't wall now wont wall with this change either. You just made it easier for the wallers to wall and harder for those that dont wall to ever be relevant in war except as cannon fodder.

Those who live in Europe or Asia who sleep at night and have jobs that require them to not play online games will still not be able to wall when Americans hit them. I think the game would be better if walling was completely removed to be honest, like if a civilian has been killed in your country in the last 30 seconds you are prevented from logging in. that would make sure that people who are at least able to get online at the same time to do a warchat every now and again will not be forced away from this game because they cant dedicate their lives to it.

to change walling from being best at low pop

ie 40 civ per turn gain, 5 civ per attack loss
8 attack per turn run
8 attacks is 18.66 turns used minimum

while at near max pop its way less attacking turns used for 1 defence turn used

could be a lot easier, and if it goes far enough that offline kill targets becomes competitive or even the best option then that allows tags with just enough turns to run a kill but spread out throughout a day to be more competitive

limiting the critical mass numbers issue thats changed war and made walling a lot more strong than it used to be
