game has been sluggish (more or less) past few days causing upto 1 min delays between actions. same with forums.

since we're on the matter why is boxcar always so slow? is it on the same servers or hosted differently? its a fairly nice site but its barely useable

same server as game and boxcar slowness is due several reasons.

..... so, boxcar is slow because it is currently being hosted on the EE server. boxcar's code is very memory/cpu hungry, so we've had to put some boundaries on what resources it can use as to not adversely affect the game. unfortunately, this means that boxcar can be incredibly slow sometimes(sometimes, meaning almost all of the time).

also boxcar database isn't in optimal condition (or sumthing like that).

edit: did qz's server blew up another hdd since game is again sluggish?

nah, he accidentally unplugged the power cable =)
