This should be a real hoot this time around, with avowed and exposed socialists running in the open this time instead of being all spyvspy. LOL

It's time to overthrow the two party dictatorship that the US lives under. There needs to be a grass roots movement to get rid of all the professional politicians and replace them with people who have held real jobs and worked for a living instead of just getting envelopes of cash secretly handed to them by businessmen trying to buy a vote or two.

Yeah I agree (for once). There should be a legal vote auction and an option to make ones vote public (in order for this to work I suppose).

Both sides are buying marginal voters in most countries afaik.

Any hard progressive tax will make people stop working/earning or find alternate ways, legal and illegal to get around it if they are about to pass a tax threshold. I see it every year:

Legal:
Self employed people who stop taking out salary once they reached the draconian leap from 30% to 50% marginal tax.
Salary workers who stop working overtime when they realize they reached the limit.

Illegal:
Doing jobs on the side that pay less but isn't taxed.
Steal from your own company or take cash payment without reporting it.
