My building shook and shimmied pretty good.

There was some breif talk about evacuation, but given that we are already "working from home" tomorrow and Friday due to G20, I guess they didnt' want to cut into the work time any more.

tsunami's are caused by earthquakes.. and yes the west coast is due for one.

I felt it here in Muskoka, stuff shook around for about 10 seconds, pretty cool.

mass smoke. lots of black smoke covered where I was living due to a rather large forest fire about 100km north.

giant fireball was a large propane tank explosion and fire following at 2am. woke me up, looked out the window, saw a nice giant fireball.
Fortunately I was like 10 blocks out of the final evac zone.

I was in Mississauga when that happened (the propane explosion). I know it made the news outside of Canada, because I had friends and family from the U.S. wondering if I was okay... heh :)

- Earth Quake during a Chemistry class, everything broke.
- Hail the size of a regular doughnut,
- Snow in June (in Chinese myths, Snow in June is a VERY bad sign),
- Neighbor's fire place was on fire, sounds like nothing, but when you see flame fly out of a chimney, it's awesome for a 9 year old.
- Rain for god knows how many days in a row.
- Thunder landing couple hundred meters away.

Dust storm on I-10 in New Mexico where a Semi slammed into the back of a car and when it cleared...on the other side was a 45 car pile up and semis flipped...cars on fire.

that's what my usgs app says anyways. You would be supprised howmany sub 5.0 quakes happen world wide daily. I get a notification bout one per hour. He'll, Baja California, Mexico gets about 4 a day

I was in Bar, Montenegro shortly after the large earthquake that leveled most of the city. I can't say I'm sorry I missed it, but quite amazing to see the devastation.

I saw what DL's describing in a field of cat tails once.....that's some wicked fluff!
