Congrats to the T10! I think #3 had a chance to eclipse me if he was around for the close of the set. Looks like a lot of unused turns and cash.

Specific hat tips to "wayward buoy" (easymarathon) who is apparently back after 15+ years, and "Cool Cats and Kittens" (Uticant), who is back after ~10 years. Awesome finishes for being back for just a few weeks!

Everyone coulda shoulda woulda done something better every set. Bottom line is, congrats Patoche on your first win! Awesome country, both NW and landmass. Everything except the name (losing v. "loosing," haha), but we will blame that on you "loosing" your mind...

absolutely. I went out tonight and now I have no idea what to do, haha. Will settle for a T5. Although the Gerdy reunion in the other thread is tempting if everyone is in.... (not that I count myself in as an OG player--- you, Gerdy, ebert, VicVixvi etc. all helped me out a ton). This will prob be my "every 20 set...."

Drunkenly registered for first set since July, so I was super rusty—wasted between 100-150 turns with stuff like inefficient and failed grabs, bad market pricing, poor spy-craft, missile retals, suboptimal amount of land, etc., and fell ten hours behind, missing the optimal tech selling window.

That said, without ebert/gerdy/beerdrinker around to regulate, I guess suboptimal play can still win, haha.

It amazes me that there are people like you, with the sole vacuous intention of ruining people's sets. Ebert, like many others, minds his own business (unless someone asks for advice which he always openly and helpfully gives). There is no reason to hit humans multiple times other than to be a griefer, but I suppose art imitates life: there are those who try to excel and do better at all endeavors, and those who grief others, as a result of a deep-seated sense of inferiority. I pity the latter.

I've never experienced being "topfed" either, more so than what I would normally expect to be randomly hit anyway. I've only been around since March, so I'm in the same "n00b" camp as you, Ugolino. We hit and we are hit, right? If all the bots hit me the way I hit them...oof!

That said, I may or may not have had a few too many again a couple day ago, and got too excited to attack... and forgot to join GDI again... galleri, can you "save me?" (just kidding! not that I can be saved anyway at this point!).

And what an amazing "coincidence" it was, or is it simply Occam's Razor? Neither of the accounts (17,110) had any attacks all set, and within ~2 minutes of each other, start with aggressive missile launches (and in similar sequence too-- EM first, etc). You didn't even mix it up and alternate-- you finished with one account and then started with the other 1.5 minutes later! (haha!). Again, I take responsibility for forgetting to join GDI, and indeed, understand that there are people with the sole intent to ruin sets, but to blatantly coordinate (at best) or to be operating two accounts (at worst, and likely) is against the rules. I'm sure now you'll "quit" (i.e. one of your accounts will quit). Good luck with the next set!
