i just experienced this too , over the last day or so , i think however i figured how to get around it . i logged into the site on a different browser , i usually use firefox , and an older version at that . but to try and test the issue i used chrome , and to my surprise after reclicking the bonus , in the chrome and then answering the captcha it credited the bonus .. maybe some cookie issue or something , i shall try clearing cookies or something if it reoccurs in firefox tomorrow .

im afraid i have developed a cynical view of some science . we are told for example the theory of evolution is a fact , and while i agree that the facts seem to bear the theory out , niether I or any of us posting here was there when various dinosaurs ended up in rocks or mammoths in permafrost . however , just to qualify that i dont actually disbelieve the theory i am prepared to act as if its correct , however , if someone comes along with a time machine and sends cameras back disguised as trees and we get pretty time lapse photos of aliens playing with their latest planet seeding project , im willing to accept that might be true too . even mathematics is in for some challenges as einsteins theory seems under fire with faster than light particles detected in tests several times now . now THATS a theory i want to see dubunked as then getting to livable systems in space would be possible .

hehe i would LOVE to see companies actually pay tax .i like the idea of a mad politician from 10-15 years ago here , abolish all other taxes and make everyone pay a flat % from memory i think it was 4% but if that is the case it must have been only for income tax . but if everyone had to pay say 20% and there was no rebates or ways to minimise it then not only would accountants be out of a job , but governments would ROLL in the cash .

i dont think the yanks have made themselves any friends with their foreign policy over the last century . the last few years they have won battles but lost the wars because just like every other conqueror in afghanistan , they are a invader and always will be .

there was also some program on television the other day where the claim on the show was that in the first 10 minutes of the universes expansion from the big bang it spread to more than 10,000 light years . its funny to think that scientific arguments are used to disprove much of the claims of religion , then expect us to take their theories on faith .

ok well basically even if the big distances involved are 95 billion instead of 150 , if the 2 furthest away from "each other" bits of the discernible universe are 95 billion light years apart . then assuming everything else was constant - speed of light - gravity - laws of physics as we know them , then that to my mind questions the original assumptions made by einstien and all the rest of them because that suggests matter moving at least close to twice the speed of light .
now i dont claim to be an physicist or much of a maths wiz , but im questioning why we blindly accept something , just because someone else says it .
my untrained thought is , if you have to change a parameter to make a theory continue to fit , then maybe you need to rethink the theory , my main reason for questioning the speed of light thingy , is that people say you cant go faster than it . my gut feeling is that if the universe has been around less than the 40 odd billion years for the universe to spread out 40 odd billion light years in distance then i still think however you measure the speed of travel , it would have had to have travelled faster than we currently measure light travelling at . and if dumb unorganised matter can do it , im pretty sure we could engineer it to happen eventually.

To add a different slant to this question , i googled a bit of info the other day . you know how the bigwigs think the universe is 20 odd billion years old . and you know how they think it all spread out from the original big firecracker , these same bunch of thinkers tell us that nothing can move faster than light dont they ? if thats the case , how come the universe is over 150 billion light years in diameter . last i checked my maths thats distance of 75 odd billion light years from the middle so , foolish me is thinking , if they arent making mistakes in lots of places that means the bits that are 75 billion light years from where they where 20 billion light years ago , moved at about 3 and 3/4's times the speed of light to get there .

anyone care to correct my assumptions please .

its a simple fact that big bulky buildings especially those under load , get old . if you add radiation to the mix , surely that increases the engineering issues

the question we need to ask , is how much money our politicians receive from the nuclear lobby , to even consider building new nuclear power plants .

the whole point is that nuclear is somehow seen as a cheap way to generate electricity . its not cheap if 1 in 150 has a big enough breakdown to need this sort of effort to avoid its side effects .

another issue with nuclear power at the moment is cost , worlwide new scheduled plants cost on average over 10,000 US dollars a Kilowatt to build . thats three times the cost of a kilowatt of solar power . at that cost you can spend 2 times the cost of your solar cells on storage and still be competitive with nuclear power .
