Plenty of rl issues on this end. I've been working at an internship and taking a comprehensive and difficult statistics class. Didn't play much at all for two sets now. All I can say about this war is:

Wow. Very lame. As I said before, I'm gone if this remains. FFA is for wars. Quick wars at that. It already takes enough time to run a WC without making things more difficult in this manner. How 'bout we add the ability to sell oil on the private market and FA it as well? :P

Actually, apps on the iphone can be terminated.

Press the home button twice.
When the app switcher pops up, hold your finger on the offending app for a second or two... Until it gets all squiggly. Then tap it to terminate it.
Rinse and repeat.
