So much drama from an alliance that didn't exist in earth 2025 lol

elders refused to pay reps for topfeeding a demo stocking. that's been standard and enforced by every alliance currently tagged on this server for years. then you tried to "retal" laf based on a new member mistakenly hitting rlenga tagged omega to md to rd ... having never tagged elders and when omega authorized the REPS we had already paid for it. so like 3x over, pact broken by elders.

and in case you didn't notice, laf has broken so many records and so few good netters are around anymore that we have no problem killing elders for fun.

the problem with you guys is that you keep shrinking while we keep growing. your whole story is getting old. so we'll tag kill you and then you'll complain about a numbers advantage when in reality it's just another sign that ... ya, you're weak.

you mean the two times we went 1 v 1 and they both ended in elders tag kills that were so bad 90% of our alliance couldn't even participate in the last run?

These hadn't been posted in some time and given the hits on laf netters (other alliances have gotten the love too, i'm not complaining :) ), and now laf demos stocking, it's a good time for me to post ours publicly.

I haven't posted much in an official capacity for laf in the last year because I haven't wanted laf to have a really hardcore or strong voice here, I just wanted us to be able to mind our own business and have no grudges with anyone. Now I'm again publicly stating this like I did during the 3 war sets -

Laf is a netting alliance. We had some wars and were impressed by all that we warred but we do really like to net. As such, we have to have terms that deter people from grabbing us. Lafers in my era (this is going back several sets now) have never tried to hit tagged alliances (and the few that fluffed up and did were flamed incredibly hard, and reps and retals were promptly authorized) as the bot land has been fair and coordinated land trading has also been an equitable and available way to get land.

All alliances are always free to post and impose whatever terms they wish on retals because that's the nature of them - they are "retaliations" on "aggressions" and by definition they can't be "land trading" if they aren't coordinated and in the best net benefit of both countries involved.

Moving forward, our retal policy for all grabs on us is 200% l:l. These retaliation terms (again it's important we remember that retal means retaliation and it's an inherent defense on an unwanted aggression) are posting publicly in a clear effort to deter alliances from hitting us ( as we want to mind our business as I've continually stated and shown), and any hits moving forward will be retalled in such a manner. If any alliances want to impose a 1000000000% l:l please, go ahead - we won't be hitting you that's for sure! (once more, the whole point of retal terms, freely set by anyone who doesn't want to be hit and simply wants to mind their own business!)

in good faith, the current unretalled hits will be retalled l:l and the demo stocking that lost 75m projected nw from the hits will not even require reps. this is again in good faith, to stop this madness. this game is awesome, and it's pretty fundamentally important that adults that want to war should be able to war and adults that want to mind their own business and net should be able to do so as well. laf wants to net, these are our terms, wishing you all the best the rest of the set.

if you're being serious - each of the last 3 sets both tob and myself have reached out to multiple elders head contacts and asked for a pact and were not even responded to most times. i'm not complaining ... but you asked and it's all documented. i've even mentioned it and stated it on AT as laf's formal statement so i'm assuming you are mostly just trolling :)

but ya, right now i'm having a very cordial conversation with link and have had the same with derrick, and i'm glad to be chatting with both of them this set. as for the comment about laf leadership trying to device some plan to net ... again, it's not some mystery or secret plan ... we are netters and would love to net again, and as such, each set we offer everyone pacts.

and with that said, some laf members (2 or 3 out of 35?) can still trash elders members and elders members can still trash laf members (fairly certainly it's a much higher % of elders members consistently trashing laf on AT :p) ... its kind of what AT is for. but that doesn't change my positioning or our formal position which is representative of the vast % of our membership who want to net.

oh correction, gains *is* going to get reprimanded for saying "retard"

for what it's worth gains inherently qualified that as a non threat by saying he "wish people were up for it", confirming that people were not up for it. i'm the leader of laf and i personally would like to net again sometime soon and see if gerdler is as good as he says he is. that aspect is not a secret. we've warred 3 sets in a row and that's a while when leadership is actively seeking to resolve issues.

.and no gains isn't going to get reprimanded because he's a boss old player and a head too ... and he has his rights to his own opinions (many probably built on the constant threats that his alliance won't net anymore ... so just seems like fair trash talking on both sides to me)

so for either side, i don't think member trash talk is a valid reason for fighting moving forward. the official laf stance is not one of aggression and i still think both sides' members should be free to talk as they wish without it dictating opposing alliance policy.

(but i am very well aware of the somewhat dying "that's wicked fluffin' awesome kid!" awesome that is spoken in some parts of this city - which is very different in tone, accent, and delivery than my use of the word, which again, is much closer to the trumpesque than the south boston or dorchester use.)

my use of awesome is much more trumpian than bostonian my friend. HUGE

Derrick is in an active war against laf so it's only reasonable he didn't promote us to new blood :)... and he didn't say anything negative about laf in that post - so maybe we are all getting past grudges gerd :p

Classic thread and just to reiterate - unknown new members with very few posts certainly don't speak for laf. Elders and sol did not coordinate and we're having fun in this war.

As for laf not hitting elders - it's certainly not a political statement, we just have too many allies that can't hit elders which has made focusing KRs on sol much more effective since those runs hold a much higher conversion rate due to turn availability in chats.

I have no long term issue with anyone on this server :)
