this is what the game is all about!

#70 is upset with the way things transpired with his country and OMA countries, threatens to detag and suicide

24 hours later he detags, and shortly thereafter #44 joins him. Put on OMA boots for a second here. #70 and #44 both have misguided reason to be upset with OMA, #70 threatens to detag and suicide, #70 DOES detag and brings along #44.. then overnight their tag grows from 2 to 5.

OMA reacted. Its as simple as that. This is a war game. No reason for anyone to have a hair across their crack.

Land is my god, and my church is in all your countries!

I like this game.

I'm in my early 30s and have a desk job, this is a perfect distraction! I can play one country in about 10 minutes, or multiple servers and it can eat up a lot of time, its all up to the player. Additionally, if there were graphics i wouldn't/couldn't play, this game is charming in its simplicity.. I don't see why it wouldn't appeal to others in my demo, if there were only a way to market it.

I never know what to spend them on, so I always seem to spend them on turns, even on a server where turns are super abundant.

I noticed that after receiving a healthy dose of GS that my TPT dropped by about a thousand points. I can't find where GS could contribute to that, but I didn't see anything else that happened to my country that can explain it. Is TPT relative to population in any way? Is it just not updated in the above attack description?

Just wondering what you guys have found to be more productive in the first ~500 turns

As a commie/indy, I don't know if i'm better off getting turns or indy booms.

Not sure if circumstances or server dictate the answer.. but i can't find what the boom% is equal to and how that would compare to my normal production.

Also, this could just be ignorance, but do the other bonuses add up over time to be worth it? I just can't see stacking -% building costs all set, or -.8% upkeep.

Yea, that's pretty much what I took out of it too, mrford. I didn't get AB'd and still lost bigtime. Additionally, the option to sell on private market is there for a farmer.. if you happen to be online when getting hit you can always use that in a pinch.

No he smoked me in our little war, to an embarrassing degree, really. I thought tyranny techer would be a good war strat, and maybe it is, but not unless you already have a lot of stocked tech in the beginning to sell, which i didn't.

In any event - it was fun, learned a bit about warring, and I got my first express server kill!

I got 76th or something.

Not to beat a dead horse, but it was cool to see the community come together to support 2 countries that were deleted for rules violations while it was vastly evident to the whole server minus the guy who reported us there was no cheating going on.

Regardless of how/why we were deleted, it was also cool for the mods to restore the countries before the set ended. I don't want to speak for Celphi but we were warring so the loss of turns didn't hurt my chance at a good finish, but even if it had, there is always next week, i'm just glad they saw the error and corrected it.

I also got a little satisfaction out of seeing that the country that falsely reported me for cheating got AB'd at the end of the set :)

I don't know about any of this other stuff, I just want my country (#89) re-instated, because I didn't break any rules. I also want Celphi's country (#66) re-instated because he also didn't break any rules... but don't tell him until another few minutes so I can continue my AB party.

If its not re-instated, I don't see myself playing express much longer.. I am active for 8+ hours a day at work, and its my activity-level that threw a red flag at whichever mod did a drive-by banning on 2 innocent countries.

Its frustrating.

I recently came back (this is my 3rd week playing express after a 3+year break) It's been a lot of fun, I have browsed the boards more than posted, and the feeling I got was that there have been changes made to help keep people more active, keep them on this site and not external sites, and keep them logging in and playing more often. The irony is that I feel like being active was exactly the reason I got deleted for.

Well that, and the baseless accusations of another playwe with whom I had zero contact, and the lack of any semblance of an investigation by whomever saw the 'cheater report'.

Can mods check ingame messages?

We had ingame messages where I offered a truce, #66 responded with something like 'you cant ruin someones start and then offer truce, you want war lets war'

so we war, and then get deleted. Seemingly because we are online at the same time for the hits.

Going forward, I legitimately run the risk of getting deleted every week then, because I leave this browser open 8 hours a day while at work and respond to aggressive acts towards my country as quickly as they happen. If that is looked at as cheating, it is not worth it for me to waste my time.

There was never any coordination between us. we got into a little war.. I continued the war while he LG'd other people. I wasn't going to stop hitting him.. its not my fault he doesn't fight back.

This is enough for me to leave the game again.

There is nothing I have done outside the rules. I am guilty of being overly-friendly to everyone i come into contact with, thats about it.

No rules violations.

I send messages to other countries but never use inappropriate language, never share information.

There is nothing i did outside the rules, all of a sudden my country just vanishes.

I am online all day while at work and very often refresh the page as someone tries to spy or attack me. That can't be too uncommon to hit within minutes.

Thanks for your feedback guys.. I finished playing first 99 turns with 1.6m cash, 23 BPT and about 300 farms (still monarchy).. sounds like indy start is better but I was already committed to farms for this week... that's whats great about express!
