In at least one case, it's not DR abuse... instead it's someone who is lucky that one of their opponents thinks that GS'ing them is going to hurt them.

Gssing a techer is devestating. 0 productuon...takes 100+turns to even get past about 200 tech per turn. Plus gs steals their tech food money and oil. Gotta teach noons that roring gets your set ended.

I agree. Perhaps a solution would be:

Country A(a) enters DR
Country A(b) leaves DR after surpassing CountryA(a) net.

Keep DR as it is, however add this extra exception:
In other words... if a country begins at $300,000 networth and receives multiple attacks which grants their country a high DR. That country would immediately lose all their DR after regaining their $300,000 networth.

Any flaws someone can point out in this solution?

When you gs a techer their tech rate goes down based on population. So if they were teching 4000 per turn with 100% population then if you have 2% population you are teching about 80 per turn. Plus you lose all the income per turn etc.

I never knew that. So basically you halt their growth and promote the victim to war you than to continue production. The one problem that comes to mind is that they can survive on selling their stored tech and eventually their population will return. Whereas if you AB them, their buildings tech would go to 0. And more importantly they cant recover as quickly without significant amount of turns and resources.

techers can't sustain wars very long even when they are selling tech as they run out quickly and i can confirm, have had my set ruined as a techer getting GS'd not realizing it would bring down my bpt.

Also been keeping up with most of these fights going on and most seem to be just people being jerks ROR'ing people known for netting or just farming in general and legitimately getting people riled up.

Its a new setup for EE Terrance. Every countries production is now based on what percentage of total possible population that you could get. It makes gsing a lot more damaging than in the past. Years ago it took building loss to destroy production now it just takes population loss.

I had thought that the DR effect of hits decayed as the subject of the hits played turns but it seems there may be some timer involved.

Yeah I noticed it in another express just messing around with gsing someone as a test. I noticed the production went down even as a farmer etc. The game is basically saying you need people to run the farms work in the labs etc.

If your country can have a possible 300k population you get dropped to say 20k you lose production of whatever you are doing.
