Got double tapped tried to retal only got 61 acres back because he was deep in DR so i killed him. Another double tapped me so i bombed his structures and almost killed him. Ran out of turns and time

That was super close at the end, Hessman123. I was expecting a lot more market activity at the end than what there was. I ended up having to leave about 75 turns unplayed. Congrats to the top ten!

Yes it was super close, good playing!

Bizzy you are right, the finish would have been even closer if I didn't get hit with that big PS with 5 hours or so left..

I made a mistake there because I was thinking that I was protected by GDI in the last 6 hours, and so I did a big military sell and sold a ton of turrets.. and I forgot that the top feeders who are not in GDI could still hit me.

It stung even more when I looked and say the guy was in heavy DR from GS attacks.. at that point it wasn't even worth it to try to retal.. I had to just cash turns and jump with what I had

And this is another reason why we kill instead of halfass GS/AB someone who multi-taps us. Because otherwise we enable them to grief others powered by the DR we gave them.

I'm just pointing that out because some people still don't understand why killing a multi-tapper is a valid response.

I think the DR should be adjusted in Express to keep up with the pace of the set ( dissipate faster ), or even a different formula of Diminished Return relating to individuals to land-grab retaliate properly those put under DR by someone else. For example, a guy hits several people, then gets ABed by one of them, the others are still able to retal (SS or PS) with minimum DR effect (that DR would remain the same, according to SS And PS taken sequentially in a given time frame) only from those countries that were hit by the guy now in heavy DR. I mean to say that the DR effect should only come from other SS and PS strikes from players he's hit (not just anyone), and the GSes remain seperate, therefore, DR effecting only new players that try and monopolize on the now fattie.
Gerdler, you are correct. It's highly annoying and I concede that your point has better merit. Shhh, don't tell anyone.

absolutely. I went out tonight and now I have no idea what to do, haha. Will settle for a T5. Although the Gerdy reunion in the other thread is tempting if everyone is in.... (not that I count myself in as an OG player--- you, Gerdy, ebert, VicVixvi etc. all helped me out a ton). This will prob be my "every 20 set...."

It's an interesting idea to have a split mechanic for DR(regular DR) for solo servers either on different attack types or just for retallers(tho it would be difficult to distinguish between retallers perhaps in the game code).

I will point out that DR on express dissipates faster and resets sooner than on all other servers. But in situations such as this it is not fast enough.
