We've added ingame ads to all game servers, so please add an exception to this site if you use ad-blocking tools. We would prefer that you use the "Ad Level" options on the Preferences page to control ads instead of ad-blockers. You can get to this page through the "Options" link in the top left or by going to http://www.earthempires.com/usrprefs .

Option 1: No ads
No ads on any ingame pages.

Option 2: Performance ads
No ads for a short time after making an attack or being attacked. This will allow players to attack or to stonewall quickly without having to wait for ads to load. In addition, no ads are shown during the final five minutes of the round.

Option 3: Full ads
Ads on all ingame pages.

The default ad level is "Performance ads".

You got a 404 link because the period was included in the url. I edited the sentence to change that.

The simplest way would be to simply exempt the whole set (http://www.earthempires.com). I'm not sure about the specifics.

Yup, it's there. Also, why are performance ads the default? Like, why would anyone go out of their way to get more?

for adblock plus you just right click the icon when your on http://www.earthempires.com then choose disable on earthempires.com

that includes the forums and game servers, or you can always do it on individual bits if you prefer

Curiously - 2025 used to have a bonus for clicking on ads. I think we would gladly click on add's if there was a bonus involved, dont know how it would be managed, but it would ensure PPC kept server costs at a minimum.

I click on one a day at the least :D
