that article has a pretty harsh undertone and it is clearly written by a member of this community. or one that has recently gained access.

way to go, we are trying to promote this game. not demonize it.

Honestly I see alot of the same lines from other news articles. But pretty fluffty of a member to do. And honestly if John Roh does not fess up.....my opinion he is a liar and not a member of the game....or he just joined minutes before he wrote the article.

the first thing that came up to me was indeed how poor the article was written. other than that, i don't really care much. imo we should keep in mind that irc logs / clanpage logs / other fluff are required since we're not talking about a game anymore, we're talking about a very tragic event where alot of persons lost their lives.

i agree tavi. the article was poorly written. noticed it yesterday, but didn't really find it worthy of being linked to from our boards.

I do hope the authorities get enough information from all the info we have to help prevent these types of events from happening.

As someone who works in the media field, I can tell you that he doesn't necessarily have to be employed by Reuters to publish an article there.

He could either be freelancing, or just wrote a one-off article that was relevant to the subject, of which he was given a slight monetary reward for writing.

It's still possible he works for Reuters, but there are alternate explanations.

The name Andy Sullivan looks very familiar. I cant remember which alliance i saw that name it but it was quite a few years ago now. I remember it because people in the alliance were trying to find each other on Facebook and Andy Sullivan was one of the people. So from what i remember this could be an actual earther. Sadly

After reading this thread I think it shines a pretty accurate view of this game, yes it's unfortunate what's happened but after a "review" by a media outlet that wasn't even that damaging you've turned this thread into a witch hunt to find the writer and do god knows what to them and their "guild".
