I need a VPN recommendation. I am looking to get a new provider.

I don't dislike my current but it offers USA only ip's.
I would like more range, specifically USA, UK, Canada and NL.

Ive been shopping a few options and trying to work out how many switches i would need or if there is providers with unlimited switching.

Who is currently using VPN and who has recommendations?

um, what are you talking about? i thought VPN was just a tunneling protocal to encrypt data?

i used OpenVPN for a while but it seemed like 90% of the good servers just vanished one day.

i wasn't aware of vpn being a distributed concept ... an ipcop firewall on one end and openvpn client on the other always works for me, but apparently i use it for something that you don't.

Conceptually vpn is just a tunnelling technique. You could develop one yourself with the right know how. So I don't understand the server/ip restrictions comments.

Anything to do with crypto export laws on vpn software maybe? Or just vpn vendors being fluffs?

my other half uses hotspot shield to get around regional restrictions

Decided on this one after a bunch of research and recommendations.

43$ for three month chunks.

so 14 bucks a month
Allows unlimited server switches and a few UK servers and a few US servers.
The speed is plenty for streaming media and its unlimited bandwidth.

Ill be picking it up after i switch ISP's at month end and ill post as to how its working. I tried the trial version with a German VPN and it worked quite well so heres hoping :D
