What's a good one to use? I'm currently using Winamp. I've used Aimp2, WMP, and I forget the other one. I set it on random to randomly play my 7000 songs but it seems like it only plays roughly 1000 over and over. Winamp has an option to play "Never been played" songs but that doesn't work apparently. I'd like to Shuffle thru all my songs and then start over if possible.

Winamp's shuffle should work..

Anyway, I've used foobar2000 the last couple years now. It's completely opensource and customizable to have anything you want on it. Takes a bit of understanding to customize it but the basic layouts are fine from a minimalistic standpoint. Tends to use less memory/cpu compared to other players as well, and has a solid ipod plugin.

It shuffles fairly well it just seems that I hear the same 1000ish song a lot and find myself skipping to the next track quiet a bit. I've heard about foobar and will more then likely give it a try.

I use Winamp for Windows. I tried JetAudio which was awesome except playlists were too difficult for me to use well and it for some reason could no longer find songs that I had loaded on to my mp3 player (and they are still there and winamp finds them no problem).

On Macs I used iTunes and on Linux distros I use Amarok.

These were all MP3s that it could find before I uploaded them and not afterwards... just too weird for my taste =P

yeah I've noticed some players on shuffle, seem to play the same songs, though it could just be my imagination.

Maybe its a conspiracy
Not posting on AT as much because Maki/Steeps gave back some of my forums on GHQ. RIP my decade long blog, my blog even had replies from people who are no longer with us :(.

From what I've read about Foobar it won't do it on shuffle, it'll play them all then start over. Have ait on Random and it will just randomly play song.
