I had planned on destocking off my PM so I began this morning (had 24bil cash) and ended up using all of it today on the public market :) Are prices normally this low this late in the set or did I just get lucky? It makes me wonder if I could have waited another day or so.

yeah I plan on reselling some but I am a rep so prices will need to go up a good bit before it is worth it.

Synoder, you had 24billion cash and jumped as a rep? Perhaps it is time you joined a netting clan for a set. Laf would show you what to do with that.

I jumped as a rep because I used my bonus points to get my corruption to 0 before I started stocking so I kept all my stock on hand and not on the market to save the commission %. (risky I know). So to convert to theo I would have had to put it all on the market which was what I was trying to avoid. In the future I don't think I would do it that way again tho. I have always been in warring clans so I am still working on this whole netting thing ;)

Theocracy gets 20% cheaper military off their PM

If you buy food for $36 and then sell food for $36, you get hit with a 6% penalty twice. Take the 6% penalty twice and get the 20% bonus.

I also would have gone from 84% mili tech to 89% but yeah I see what you are saying. It would have cost me 12% but I would have had 15% decrease in prices (20%-the 5% in tech) so I would have come out ahead in the end. Fortunately the public market was more than 3% lower than my pm so it didn't matter. Of course if I had switched to theo I could have gone tmbr and done better.

The public was nowhere near as cheap as a theo's PM though. I did the corruption bonus same as you btw :P

Synoder if you have low land, then fluff Theo conversion, you are better off blowing on public before prices go to hell :)

I am pretty sure there is no situation that it would be better to do a non theo/demo jump chaoswind. If you wish to jump on public you do it as demo.

oh highrock, we like to teach people by example.

we use LT as the "what not to do" example. just as useful as the "what to do" example so you know what's good and bad ;P
